About us

Pigeon Pigeon is an independent theatre collective making queer experimental work from our home in Narrm (Melbourne).

We make and produce work which could be described by a few of these adjectives: queer, site-specific, verbatim, stunning, accessible, weird, and soft. It’s a theatre which is intimate, soaked in sentimentality, and like our avian namesakes, found in the city’s cracks.

In 2024 we presented our debut work: FUTURE at Melbourne Fringe which received ★★★★☆ from Artshub.

In 2025 we presented at Melbourne Fringe: The Shore Remembers by Olivia Fisher, a binaural sound work exploring the human impact on coastal areas, and I Promise This Isn't About You (Even If It Feels Like It Is) which took home the Crowd Pleaser Award, was nominated for two Green Room Awards for its writing and direction, and had a raft of ★★★★☆ reviews.

Pigeon Pigeon is led by theatre-makers Ryan Hamilton and Georgie Wolfe, but we love to be collaboratively promiscuous. Georgie and Ryan were recipients of the Emerging Company Incubator Award at Melbourne Fringe (2023) for Full Cream.
