Some quick notes on how rehearsals for F__k Your Funding and I Promise This Isn't About You are going

A quick note from me with some little updates on our two shows coming to Melbourne Fringe in just under two weeks. The first of them, Fuck Your Funding, our explosive satire of the performing arts sector, opens in exactly ten days time.
As the writer/producer of this show I made a very strict decision to not be in rehearsals as much as possible so let the excellent team around me do their best. I've seen enough writers have enough unhelpful opinions on staging that I refused to be there.
However, I snuck in to our rehearsal on Tuesday to watch the very first stumble through of the show and was gagged. It's a total hoot and I forgot how wild the script I'd written was AND was delighted by the buckets of new humour and barbs that the team have added. The cast and crew on this show is just remarkable!!! Myself excluded lol.

Meanwhile, I Promise This Isn't About You, our site-specific excavation of young adult messiness is deep in rehearsals. I've not watched a run of it just yet but based on the fact that we have the entire team from last year's two-time-Green Room Award-nominated season back, I think it'll be spectacular. I've spent most of my time thinking about how we wrangle getting a bathtub into a car park and also (a real question I asked the Fringe team) can we power wash our venue to keep the dust down?
